Southern Italy country house
Masseria del Gigante is an ancient Southern Italy country house. It is nestled among the olive trees of the verdant land of Salento, known as “the heel of the Italian boot”. Its authentic and rural architecture blends with harmony and grace with the surrounding environment.
We carried out the entire renovation work respecting the spirit and the traditions of the place. We also restored an ancient Romain road located at the entrance of the Masseria and classified as cultural patrimony. In collaboration with local professionals, we only used native materials like the Leccese stone, a particular limestone.
We designed our Italian Maison for you to enjoy the exterior spaces as much as possible. As an extension of the living room, the terrace will host your aperitifs, lunches, and dinners in front of the Mediterranean maquis. This living area is the perfect outdoor relaxing nook, where you can spend time together and have some moments for yourselves.
Terrace and outdoor living
The rural setting is the backdrop to the pool and enhances its delicate style. Surrounded by greenery, this stretch of water fits perfectly into the beautiful natural landscape. On the large table, you will enjoy your dishes made with fresh products from our garden, seasoned with our organic olive oil. The terrace offers a wonderful view, a spectacular show of colors and scents that becomes a real emotion.
You will find peace between the dry stone walls and the secular olive trees of the house. Whether under a tree shade or the waterfall jet of the shower in the Trullo, this house will make you enjoy summer. Likewise, a fireplace and a good glass of red wine will warm you up during the mild autumn and winter.
