A “Masseria” is an ancient typical building of southern Italy, where the landowners and the peasants who were working the land used to live. Nowadays, Masseria del Gigante is an elegant villa located in a small village on the Adriatic coast of Apulia – precisely in Salento, the “heel” of the Italian “boot”.

Nestled in 10 hectares of organic lands with ancient olive groves – and soon native grape variety – it’s a place designed for families and groups of friends who are looking for an authentic oasis of peace.

With its 5 en-suite bedrooms gracefully decorated, its wide spaces, and its relaxing atmosphere, this holiday house will make you start that book you’ve been trying to read for so long; it will make you take that dip in the pool that you’ll think about in the winter months; it will make you discover the magical land of Apulia. 

The stunning beaches bathed by a crystalline sea and the breathtaking cliffs of Salento make this place the ideal destination for summer vacations. Thanks to its mild climate, it’s a pleasant region to visit all year round, even during the winter breaks. Just sit around the fireplace with the right music and a nice glass of red wine and the atmosphere will do the rest.

• The holiday house can accommodate up to 10 guests with its 5 en-suite bedrooms.
• The main structure, with a cozy and refined atmosphere, has two 20sqm² bedrooms with private bathrooms.
  The 2 rooms can be prepared with a double bed or twin beds.
• A dependence has two connecting bedrooms – each of 15sqm² – with private bathrooms.
  The 2 rooms can be prepared with a double bed or twin beds.
• An independent suite of 20sqm² with a king-size bed of 180×200 and a private bathroom located in an original Trullo.

The spaces impress with their authenticity, attention to detail, and the highest level of quality, in a familiar environment. For this reason, each room has all the comfort you may need: a private bathroom, air conditioning, and everything you need for a pleasant stay. From the big windows, you can also enjoy the scents and colors of the surrounding countryside.

Throughout the house, there is a serene atmosphere. The indoor and outdoor blend harmoniously. The bright living room and the kitchen communicate in an open space that leads onto the terrace overlooking the Mediterranean maquis. This allows you not only to spend important moments in the company of your friends and family but also to take some time for yourself, without feeling isolated.

Lastly, Masseria del Gigante is perfect for every season. On warm days all you need to do is to open the doors to enjoy the summer breeze, while the large windows will allow you to enjoy the most natural light, even in the winter months.

A rural setting in Apulia

The rural setting is the backdrop to the pool and enhances its delicate style. Surrounded by greenery, this stretch of water fits perfectly into the beautiful natural landscape. On the large table, you will enjoy your dishes made with fresh products from our garden, seasoned with our organic olive oil. The rooftop terrace offers a wonderful view, a spectacular show of colors and scents that becomes a real emotion. All you have to do is go upstairs at the right time, not to miss the play of light in nature.

You will find peace between the dry stone walls and the secular olive trees of the house. Whether under a tree shade or the waterfall jet of the shower in the Trullo, this house will make you enjoy summer. Likewise, a fireplace and a good glass of red wine will warm you up during the mild autumn and winter.
